JDM K24a. I own a 2003 honda accord 2.4 MT. My engine is pretty much on its way to its deathbed so i'm preparing to replace it with the k24a2 unit. However, I cant seem to find one with less than 70K miles on it. Supposedly, these "JDM" K24a engines come with 35k-50ish miles. I've somewhat got things lined up with a local "JDM" engine
It also has smaller ports than the Type S and Type R. The motor also comes with a 5 speed transmission instead of the 6 speed and has no LSD. If using a K24a4 block the pistons will need to be swapped with aftermarket or a1, a2 pistons to avoid valve to piston contact. K24A8. Im scared to make the move. Alot of yanks on clubrsx sy its the best etc but their all hard oarkers who like to mod for bragging rights
The best trannies besides the Type S are the regular RSX and the EP3. These are usually about $300-400 less than a Type S. However, that Accord tranny also has one BIG benefit to it.

[B]ENGINE: K20 OR K24[/B] [/u] The Hasport kits work with either size engineand with all the combinations like a K24 from and Accord on the bottom end with a K20A2 head from an RSX Type-S. The K24 motors have EGR built into the head (except the CR-V), and the K24A2 from the TSX has a different ECU and harness.
1. There are two versions of H22A for JDM Honda: H22A Redtop and H22A Blacktop. – H22A Redtop has a red valve cover. This is the most dynamic out of all H22 engines, it was installed in Honda Prelude Type S and SiR S-Spec, and in Honda Accord Euro R. It boasts 220 HP @ 7,200 rpm and 221 Nm @ 6,500 rpm.
Firstly there are two main types of cylinder heads on the K-series engines , one is a lesser spec and is used on the lower bhp models - CRV K24 and Accord with the K20a6 or K20z2 engines. These heads do not have 3 lobe camshafts on either side of the head. They have a 2 lobe inlet camshaft and a single lobe exhaust camshaft.
